Dursun Özbek elected unanimously to the European Football Clubs Board of Directors

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek has been elected as a member of the European Football Clubs (EFC) Board of Directors. In the election held in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, Özbek's membership on the board was approved unanimously.

Özbek takes the seat previously held by former Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç. Thus, Turkish football will be represented on the management platform where European clubs are represented by Galatasaray President Özbek.

FIRST STATEMENT FROM ÖZBEK

Making an assessment following the election, Dursun Özbek stated that he was honored to be elected to the European Football Clubs Board of Directors and expressed the following:

“I am deeply honored and happy to be elected to the European Football Clubs Board of Directors. As the President of Galatasaray Sports Club, I will work to represent Turkish football worthily on this important platform and to elevate communication, cooperation, and interaction among European clubs to the highest level. I wish for this election to be beneficial for our Galatasaray and for Turkish football.”

Ali Koç had previously served as a member of the European Club Association Board of Directors for a second time in 2023, following his 2019-2023 term.
