Eczacıbaşı Dynavit is in the final!
Our representative Eczacıbaşı Dynavit, competing in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship, has advanced to the final.
In the semifinal match of the championship hosted by the city of Hangzhou, China, the orange-and-white team started well, winning the first two sets comfortably 25-16 and 25-12. Eczacıbaşı, which utilized its rotation, lost the competitive third set 27-25, bringing the score to 2-1. Despite their opponent's resistance in the fourth set, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit displayed an effective performance, winning that section 25-21 to finish the match with a 3-1 victory.
For Eczacıbaşı, captain Boskovic was the architect of the win with 23 points. Stevanovic contributed 14 points, Voronkova 13, and Hande 11 to the victory. For the Brazilian representative, Tainara's 20 points could not prevent the defeat.
The orange-and-white team, which won both of its group matches without dropping a set, also passed the semifinal with a 3-1 victory. Eczacıbaşı, which was the champion in 2015 and 2016 and the runner-up in 2019, has reached the final for the 4th time.
Eczacıbaşı Dynavit's opponent in the final will be determined today in the match between VakıfBank and the Chinese representative Tianjin Bohai Bank, which will take place at 14:30 TSI. If VakıfBank also advances to the final, it will be the first time that two Turkish teams face each other for the championship in the 16th edition of the tournament.
The final match will begin tomorrow at 14:30 TSI.
