Emre Belözoğlu: We will bring new players to Turkish football

In the first week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Kasımpaşa drew 1-1 at home against Trabzonspor. Speaking at the press conference held after the match, Kasımpaşa Manager Emre Belözoğlu stated that they had a good preparation period, saying, "We worked well starting from the pre-season camp. Our players suffered a lot while reflecting this game on the pitch; we worked at a very intense pace for 40-45 days. Today, there were moments when we received the rewards of this work. I congratulate all my player brothers.

We have players who are playing at this level for the first time, but regardless, they showed great respect to their opponents and were highly motivated. There are aspects of the game in general that I am very pleased with. I would like to thank them all once again in your presence. We will improve.

With our club's vision, we will bring new players to Turkish football. We will patiently support the development of these young players. I hope Kasımpaşa will experience processes where the scores also come in the end, all together. I thank all my players who entered the game, left the game, and were on the bench for their efforts. I also wish Trabzonspor success in their upcoming matches," he said.

"Hajradinovic is very important for us"

Making evaluations regarding the status of Haris Hajradinovic, who returned from injury, and Kerem Demirbay, who was not in the squad, Belözoğlu said, "We started the match with Diabate because we had plans for runs behind the defense. This was entirely a tactical choice. Haris was away from the pitch for a long time, about 8-9 months. He is a very valuable name for the team and this community. He is for us as well. Our team captain entered the game today, and I thanked him in the locker room. We need players who will look after this young team and provide leadership. Beyond his presence and the performance he displayed, Haris's character is very important to us. The team showed significant character in the second half under his leadership. As for Kerem, unfortunately, he developed pain in his foot three days ago. We could not tolerate it and did not want to take a risk. He is also a very valuable and important player for us," he included.

"We want to transfer two more players"

Making statements regarding the transfer process and squad structuring, Emre Belözoğlu made the following assessment:

"Our club will perhaps be one of the lowest-budget teams in the league, but we have set forth a vision to prefer the most ambitious young players and give them playing time. We will stand firm on this issue and be patient. We want to bring them into Turkish football by waiting for their development. We want to sign two more players; they will again be young and dynamic names. We want the player we will sign for the center-back position to be a bit more experienced. It looks like we will finalize one of these transfers within the week."
