Responding to questions on the program "Az Önce Konuştum" with Candaş Tolga Işık on TV100, Ataman spoke as follows:
"I AM ERGIN ATAMAN"
“The visa problem affects me so deeply. My family cannot come to Greece. You write dozens of letters, you call the consulate. I am Ergin Ataman, and despite that, they have to queue for a visa, wait for one, two, or three months, and those who do apply get rejected. Is it that hard to establish a criterion for this?
"I AM TRULY DISTURBED BY THESE ISSUES"
Of course, there are those who should not go. Those who are politically banned or those who migrate and stay there when they go. But is it that hard to distinguish between them? I am truly very disturbed by these issues.
One of the best things I experience is when we go to an away game with the Greek team in the Euroleague. We walk right through with our bags in hand. There is no passport control, there is nothing else.”
