Manchester United, competing in the English FA Cup, will face English third-tier side Wigan Athletic away from home. Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag held a press conference ahead of the match, which will kick off at 23:15 TSI, and made statements.
"WE HAVE GOOD GOALKEEPERS"
In his statement, Erik ten Hag said, "We have good goalkeepers who can fill his spot when Andre Onana goes to the Africa Cup of Nations. Both Andre Onana and Altay Bayındır are very good goalkeepers. They are very experienced at the highest level. So we can be sure that we can handle this situation. We also have Tom Heaton. We can fill Onana's spot."
Following the match against Wigan Athletic, Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana will leave the team for the Africa Cup of Nations. During this period, Altay is expected to guard the Manchester United goal.
Bayındır, who transferred to Manchester United from Fenerbahçe at the beginning of the season, has not yet found an opportunity to play for the English side.
