Erol Bulut could be manager of the month in England

Cardiff City Manager Erol Bulut has been named among the candidates for the English Championship "manager of the month" award.

4 WINS IN 5 MATCHES

Cardiff secured 4 wins and 1 defeat in the 5 league matches they played last September, collecting 12 points. Following this success by the Welsh team, manager Erol Bulut was nominated for the "manager of the month" award alongside 3 of his colleagues.

3 OTHER CANDIDATES

In addition to Bulut, Kieran McKenna (Ipswich Town), Tony Mowbray (Sunderland), and Liam Rosenior (Hull City) are among the candidates. The winner is expected to be announced tomorrow.

1 POINT AWAY FROM THE PLAY-OFF ZONE

Cardiff City currently sits in 9th place with 17 points in the Championship, with 11 weeks of the season completed. While the top 2 teams in the league earn direct promotion to the Premier League, the 4 teams finishing between 3rd and 6th place compete in play-off matches to determine the final team to be promoted. Cardiff is 1 point behind sixth-placed Birmingham and 11 points behind second-placed Ipswich Town.
