Ertaç Özbir suffers head trauma at Ankaragücü: He will spend the night in the hospital!

In the 28th week of the Süper Lig, MKE Ankaragücü drew 1-1 at home against İstanbulspor. 

In the 38th minute, Emir Kaan Gültekin found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper Ertaç Özbir after a ball was played behind the defense. Both players collided and were injured as they both attempted to challenge for the ball. 

Referee Muhammet Ali Metoğlu showed a red card to goalkeeper Ertaç for his actions in this play.

In the 45+8th minute, Loshaj's powerful shot from outside the penalty area beat goalkeeper Bahadır Han Güngördü and found the back of the net. 

Right at the beginning of the second half, in the 53rd minute, Bassogog met a long pass from Tolga Ciğerci on the left side of the penalty area, cut the ball to his left foot, and fired it into the net.

Ertaç Özbir was taken to the hospital after his collision with Emir Kaan Gültekin.

The statement released by Ankaragücü included the following:

"Ertaç Özbir, who was taken to the hospital with a suspected head trauma following his injury in the İstanbulspor match, is in good health according to initial examinations and will spend the night in the hospital as a precaution."
