Ertuğrul Sağlam responds to Beşiktaş rumors
Kocaelispor manager Ertuğrul Sağlam has responded to rumors linking him to Beşiktaş.
Kocaelispor, a team in the TFF 1st League, continued their preparations today for their match against Yeni Malatyaspor in the 15th week of the league.
Speaking to members of the press before the training session, Kocaelispor manager Ertuğrul Sağlam also addressed the rumors regarding Beşiktaş.
Sağlam stated, "We spent 8 years at Beşiktaş. Beşiktaş has a place in many of the things we have achieved in our lives. Beşiktaş will always have a special place for us. There was a similar rumor last season. In fact, that one was more serious, but we have a promise we made to our fans and our community here. I can promise that I will not leave here until I fulfill this promise. We will put an end to our community's and our fans' 15-year longing. We couldn't finish the job last year," he said.
"WE WILL TAKE OUR OPPONENT SERIOUSLY"
Expressing that they are aware of the seriousness of the upcoming match against Yeni Malatyaspor, Ertuğrul Sağlam said, "In a 3-point system, a team that wins 3 matches in a row can climb 7 spots. We reached the points we wanted by winning consecutively. We want to shed the pressure of having overcome that distance by continuing to win. If we are not careful, we could face surprises. I have asked my players to take this match very seriously. I watched the Bandırmaspor vs. Yeni Malatyaspor match. There is a big difference between Malatyaspor at the beginning of the season and now. They have good young players and they have slowly started to score goals as well. We want to win in a serious manner. We have no choice but to win," he added.
