Esra Yıldız Kahraman guarantees bronze medal: 'When I didn't believe in myself...'
At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, our national boxer Esra Yıldız Kahraman defeated Brazil's Jucielen Cerqueira Romeu 4-1 in the women's 57kg quarterfinals, advancing to the semifinals and guaranteeing a medal.
Our athlete, who has guaranteed a bronze medal, will face the number 1 seed, Yu Ting Lin from Taiwan, in the semifinals on Wednesday evening, August 7.
Speaking after the match, Esra Yıldız Kahraman said the following:
"I didn't sleep so I could make this speech. It took a very long time for me to believe in myself. Even when I didn't believe in myself, my husband believed in me. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be here. I love him very much."
