Eventful day in Turkish football: TFF and the Union of Clubs to meet
Following recent events in Turkish football, the Union of Clubs Foundation, led by Ali Koç, will hold a meeting in Riva with TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi and Minister of Sports Osman Aşkın Bak.
Turkish football is going through very eventful days recently.
While the repercussions of the physical assault by former Ankaragücü president Faruk Koca on FIFA-licensed referee Halil Umut Meler continue, Istanbulspor President Ecmel Faik Sarıalioğlu also withdrew his team from the pitch during the Trabzonspor match.
A major brawl also broke out during the TFF 2nd League match between Bursaspor and Diyarbekirspor, resulting in 5 players receiving red cards.
Following all these developments, the Union of Clubs Foundation decided to convene.
The Union of Clubs, chaired by Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç, will meet today at 14:30 in Riva.
TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi and Minister of Sports Osman Aşkın Bak will also attend the meeting to be held in Riva.
