Eventful hours at Beşiktaş: Resignation decision from Hasan Arat
Beşiktaş President Hasan Arat has resigned from his post at the black-and-white club. It was stated that Hasan Arat resigned from his position as Chairman of the Board and from his membership.
Eventful hours are being experienced at Beşiktaş Club. President Hasan Arat has resigned from his post.
The following statements were included in the notification made by the black-and-white team to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP):
"As a result of the decision taken at the Board of Directors meeting of our company dated 27.11.2024; it has been decided to accept the resignation of the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Hasan ARAT, from his position as Chairman of the Board and from his membership, and to appoint Mr. Hüseyin YÜCEL to the vacant position of Chairman of the Board, in accordance with Article 363 of the Turkish Commercial Code (TTK), to be submitted for the approval of the general assembly at the first general assembly meeting to be held."
WHAT HAPPENED?
A crisis had emerged following poor results for the black-and-white team. Last night, the duties of Football Teams General Coordinator Samet Aybaba and Board Advisor Bradley Howard Friedel were terminated.
Later, Vice President Onur Göçmez and board member Işıl Zeybek also submitted their resignations. However, Göçmez's resignation was not accepted, and he returned to his post.
Following these resignation decisions, Beşiktaş also parted ways with Media and Communication Group Coordinator Okay Karacan.
POOR RUN IN THE LEAGUE CONTINUED
Beşiktaş was also recording inconsistent results in the Süper Lig. The black-and-white team had not been able to secure a victory in the last 4 matches they played in the league. Most recently, Beşiktaş was defeated 4-2 by Göztepe at home in the league.
At the same time, it was alleged that the players at Beşiktaş had not received their salaries for a certain period of time.
