Ligue 1 side Lyon has announced that it has parted ways with head coach Fabio Grosso.
Olympique Lyon, currently in last place in France's Ligue 1 with 7 points from 12 matches, has announced a departure.
Lyon stated that it has parted ways with head coach Fabio Grosso, who was brought in to lead the team in the 5th week.
In the statement released by the club, it was noted: "As Olympique Lyon, we would like to thank Fabio Grosso and his assistants for their dedication and professionalism since they took charge of the professional team. Pending the outcome of this procedure, the preparation and supervision of the match to be played this Saturday at 17:00 in Lens will be provided by Pierre Sage, assisted by Jérémie Bréchet, Jean-François Vulliez, and Rémy Vercoutre as goalkeeper coach."
Grosso, who played for Lyon as a footballer in the past, managed only 7 matches as head coach, recording 1 win, 2 draws, and 4 losses. Grosso achieved a points average of 0.71 in these matches.
