İstanbulspor manager Hakan Yakın stated that they were saddened by their 1-0 away loss to EMS Yapı Sivasspor in the 18th week of the Trendyol Super League.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Yakın noted that they had been going through a difficult time over the last 3-4 days due to the events that had occurred.

Congratulating his team for their performance, Yakın said, "We did very good things and kept the opponent under control. As in other matches, if you cannot score and then concede a goal in the final minute, it is naturally demoralizing."

Expressing that they started the second half of the match well, Yakın said, "I believe we did everything right from our perspective. We are lacking goals in the final third, and it is sad to concede goals in the final minutes."

When asked about club president Ecmel Faik Sarıalioğlu pulling the team off the pitch last week, Yakın said, "I have been in football for 30 years, but I have never experienced anything like this. We will give the team some time off; in the meantime, I will have my own thoughts and I may make decisions. I will consult with my family. Hakan Yakın emphasized that it is not his job to evaluate referees, noting that some refereeing decisions in certain matches have not been in their favor.
