Farewell statement from national shooter Dikeç

National shooter Yusuf Dikeç, who came to Kırıkkale upon the invitation of the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, became a source of inspiration for those interested in the sport of shooting by sharing his experiences with young people.

Welcomed by Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Hamza Güneş and athletes, Dikeç first met with young people at the directorate building. He answered the young people's questions about shooting in the meeting hall.

Expressing that meeting with young athletes moved him, Dikeç made the following statement:

"After the 2024 Paris Olympics, my partner and I brought a silver medal to our country. Because of this, I am very happy both for myself, for my country, and in terms of the recognition of this sport I practice, both in the world and in Turkey. We did not expect to be this well-known.

I have had a friendship with Mr. Hamza, my esteemed Director, for a long time. He insisted, saying, 'Tell our young people something.' We came here on this occasion. It was a very warm welcome. We came together with the young people, sat down, and chatted. I hope we were able to touch the emotions of the young people here. I am very happy to be in Kırıkkale."

"I AIM TO WIN THE GOLD MEDAL"

Continuing his words with his future goals, Dikeç said, "As with every living thing, there is a lifespan according to the laws of nature. If God wills, after being born, developing, growing up, and completing that lifespan, I will participate in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, if it is meant to be. I aim to win the gold medal there. After that, I am thinking of retiring from this sport."
