The tenure of former Fenerbahçe manager Domenico Tedesco at Bologna was short-lived. The Serie A side parted ways with the 41-year-old manager after failing to secure a win in the first 4 weeks of the league.
Tedesco's time in Italy with Bologna was limited to 100 days and 4 matches. After his dismissal, Tedesco left the training facilities and did not go into the details of his meeting with the club management.
Making a statement after his departure, Tedesco expressed his satisfaction with the interest he received in the city, saying, "What we discussed with the management stays between us. I was truly welcomed wonderfully in this city, and I would have liked to give more in return for this affection."
Tedesco thanked the Bologna fans and those who supported him in the city, continuing his words as follows:
"I am very sad because these people deserve more. The general atmosphere in the city was very beautiful, but unfortunately, I was only able to manage two matches at home... I thank everyone who welcomed me warmly. This is football, there is nothing special about it."
The Bologna management opted for a managerial change following the failure to make the desired start to the season.
