Fatih Tekke: The mistake made is unacceptable
Trabzonspor manager Fatih Tekke, whose team drew 1-1 away against Kasımpaşa in the first week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, said, "The mistake made is unacceptable. We have to do better. There is a beginning to this, and we shouldn't blame just one player. It was a mistake while the ball was heading toward the sideline."
Trabzonspor drew 1-1 against Kasımpaşa, whom they visited in the first week of the Trendyol Süper Lig. Saviolo scored for Trabzonspor in the 43rd minute, while Benedyczak (P) scored for Kasımpaşa in the 56th minute. New signing Mohamed Salah, who started the new season with a draw, entered the game in the 58th minute for Trabzonspor.
Speaking at the press conference held after the match, Trabzonspor manager Tekke stated the following:
“It is a sad and difficult start, we had said as much. The next four matches will perhaps be even harder. The opponent found the equalizer due to a mistake we made in the second half. It wasn't meant to be today. These 5 weeks and 5 matches are very important not just for this year, but for the future of Trabzonspor. We didn't start well today, but we were above what we planned in the first half.
The mistake made is unacceptable. We have to do better. There is a beginning to this, and we shouldn't blame just one player. It was a mistake while the ball was heading toward the sideline. It happens because of the desire to win the ball back as quickly as possible. The way the intervention was made… Therefore, you get punished. We created chances today, but when it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen.”
