Fatih Terim's criticism of referee decisions becomes a hot topic in Greece
Panathinaikos manager Fatih Terim's remarks regarding the referees following his team's 3-2 loss to PAOK in the Championship Round have sparked debate in Greece.
The performance of Danish referee Mikkel Redder, who officiated the Championship Round match in Greece, angered Panathinaikos Manager Fatih Terim.
"THEY SHOULD NOT SEND SUCH REFEREES..."
Fatih Terim, in his statement following the PAOK defeat, said, "I usually don't talk about referees, but the Greek League does not deserve low-quality referees. One should be ashamed to add only 4 minutes to the end of the match. I'm not even saying anything about the red card and the fouls he called! If they are going to send foreign referees like this, they shouldn't send them at all. The worst referee in Denmark has come here."
According to a report by Sabah, these remarks by Fatih Terim have become a hot topic in the Greek media.
It was noted that while some supported the experienced manager's words, others disagreed.
