Fenerbahçe advances in Europa League: A draw was enough

The match played at Lotto Park started with an immediate goal. Capitalizing on a mistake by the Anderlecht defense, Youssef En-Nesyri scored to make it 1-0 following a perfect "put it on a plate" pass from Dzeko.

The match between Belgium's Anderlecht and Fenerbahçe in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off round was halted due to racist behavior in the stands.

Despite the unrest in the stands ending, the Swiss referee headed to the locker room. After the referee returned to the pitch a short while later, the match resumed from the 7th minute.

The hosts responded to this goal in the 19th minute. Luis Vazquez leveled the score following a major error by Fenerbahçe goalkeeper İrfan Can Eğribayat.

The first half of the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Luis Vazquez took the stage once again in the 55th minute for Anderlecht, putting his team ahead to make the score 2-1.

In the 63rd minute, young center-back Yusuf Akçiçek restored balance to the match with a clean header from a ball redirected by Milan Skriniar following a corner kick for the Yellow-Navies: 2-2.

There were no further goals in the remainder of the contest, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

OPPONENT WILL BE RANGERS OR OLYMPIAKOS

With a 5-2 aggregate score over their opponent across the two matches, Fenerbahçe successfully secured their place in the Round of 16.
