Fenerbahçe and Mourinho have made their decision on Batshuayi: Notable 'option' and 'salary' details

Michy Batshuayi, who began the season as a substitute for Edin Dzeko at Fenerbahçe, delivered a remarkable performance with his scoring contributions in the matches he entered from the bench.

As his contract was not renewed, the player has entered free agency; however, a new development has emerged regarding the player.

According to a report by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu from Sports Digitale; Batshuayi wants to stay at Fenerbahçe and does not want to disrupt his current setup, but Fenerbahçe has requested a salary reduction for a new contract. While this demand was not accepted by the player, Mourinho, who has been in talks with Batshuayi, also wants the player to stay provided that the financial conditions are met.

THE OPTION DETAIL

The +1 year option included in Michy Batshuayi's contract and disclosed to the KAP (Public Disclosure Platform) was dependent on the 'number of matches played in the starting 11.' This option did not activate because the required number of matches was not reached.

Batshuayi, who played for 1865 minutes in 43 matches, provided 24 goals and 3 assists. Thus, Batshuayi contributed to a goal every 78 minutes.
