Fenerbahçe announces Mimovic's departure
Fenerbahçe has announced that Ognjen Mimovic has been loaned to Zenit until the end of the season.
In a statement released by the club, it was stated, "Our club has reached an agreement with Zenit for the loan transfer of our player Ognjen Mimovic until the end of the season.
We wish our player a successful period free from injury."
The 20-year-old footballer will play for Zenit on loan until the end of the season.
WHY WAS HE LOANED?
With the cancellation of Allan Saint-Maximin's transfer to Napoli, Fenerbahçe increased its number of foreign players to 15 with the additions made during the mid-season transfer window. However, according to the Turkish Football Federation rules, the yellow-navy team can have a maximum of 14 foreign players in its squad. Therefore, it was necessary for one player to be left out of the squad.
TRANSFERRED FOR 6.7 MILLION EUROS
The 20-year-old player was transferred to Fenerbahçe from Red Star Belgrade for 6.7 million euros. His license was issued, but he did not find an opportunity to play.
