Fenerbahçe begins Europa League with a defeat: Concedes 3 goals to Dinamo Zagreb
In the first week of the league phase of the UEFA Europa League, Fenerbahçe faced Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb away from home.
Representing Turkey, Fenerbahçe was defeated 3-1 by their opponent Dinamo Zagreb in their first match of the UEFA Europa League league phase.
In the match played at Maksimir Stadium, Fenerbahçe lost 3-1 to Dinamo Zagreb.
The goals that brought victory to the home side were scored by Drena Beljo in the 21st and 50th minutes, and by Monsef Bakrar in the 90+5th minute.

Fenerbahçe's only goal in the match came from Sebastian Szymanski in the 25th minute.
Starting their European campaign with a defeat, the Yellow-Navies failed to secure any points in the first week. Dinamo Zagreb, meanwhile, moved to 3 points.

Fenerbahçe will host French side Nice at home on October 2 in their second Europa League match.
