Fenerbahçe Beko are the champions of the 38th Men's Presidential Cup
Fenerbahçe Beko, the 2024-2025 season champions of the Basketball Super League and the Turkish Cup, faced off against Beşiktaş GAIN, the runners-up in both competitions, in the 38th Men's Presidential Cup.
Starting the game effectively at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, Fenerbahçe Beko led 43-34 at halftime in a match where they at one point extended their lead to 26 points.
Managing to maintain the scoring advantage they gained in the first half, Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Beşiktaş GAIN 85-83 in the derby to take home the trophy.
For the yellow-navy team, Devon Hall with 23 points, Wade Baldwin with 20 points, and Mikael Jantunen with 19 points played a major role in the championship victory.
For the black-white team, Devon Dotson was the game's top scorer with 25 points, while Vitto Brown contributed 16 points.
FENERBAHÇE ENDS THE DROUGHT
Winning the cup for the 8th time in their history, Fenerbahçe Beko also ended an 8-year drought.
The yellow-navy team, coached by Šarūnas Jasikevičius, ended their 8-year championship wait in the tournament, which they have competed in 19 times.
