Fenerbahçe Beko crowned champions of the Basketball Super League

In the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League finals, Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Beşiktaş 84-68 at home, winning the series 4-1 to claim the championship.

Fenerbahçe Beko crowned champions of the Basketball Super League

Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Beşiktaş Fibabanka 84-68 in the fifth game of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League play-off final series, bringing the series to 4-1 and securing the championship.

Beşiktaş Fibabanka started the derby well. The black-and-white team, which did not give its opponent any scoring chances on defense, went on a 13-0 run by the 5th minute by finding consecutive baskets against Fenerbahçe Beko. Responding to Beşiktaş, which committed turnovers, with a 9-0 run, the yellow-and-navy team reduced the gap to 4 points as the 6th minute ended: 9-13. While the final part of this quarter saw mutual turnovers, Fenerbahçe Beko finished the first period ahead 21-18 with a three-pointer scored by Melli in the final second.

Fenerbahçe Beko was effective in the second quarter with baskets found from behind the three-point line. Beşiktaş Fibabanka, on the other hand, did not allow the gap to widen with points produced from the painted area. The yellow-and-navy team led 35-31 at the 16th minute of the match, which was played at a low tempo in the middle of the period. Although Fenerbahçe Beko increased the gap to 10 points (43-33) in the 19th minute, the black-and-white team reduced the gap to 5 points (45-40) by finding outside shots with Berk İbrahim Uğurlu and Mathews. The yellow-and-navy team entered the break leading 48-40 with Melih Mahmutoğlu's three-pointer.

Maintaining its superiority with the support of its fans in the third quarter and widening the gap, Fenerbahçe went into the final period with a 15-point advantage against Beşiktaş, which committed consecutive turnovers: 69-54

Not allowing the gap to close in the final period, Fenerbahçe Beko won the match 84-68 and became the champion.

MINISTER BAK WATCHED THE DERBY AT THE ARENA

Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak watched the Fenerbahçe Beko-Beşiktaş Fibabanka derby at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall.

Minister Bak followed the match side-by-side with Turkish Basketball Federation President Hidayet Türkoğlu.

KOÇ AND ADALI WATCHED THE MATCH SIDE-BY-SIDE

Fenerbahçe Club President Ali Koç and Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı watched the derby together.

The two presidents followed the fifth game of the final series from courtside.

DERBY SOLD OUT

The Fenerbahçe Beko-Beşiktaş Fibabanka derby was played to a sold-out crowd.

Yellow-and-navy fans filled the 13,500-capacity Ülker Sports and Event Hall to support their team.
