Fenerbahçe Beko defeats Galatasaray to face Beşiktaş in final
Fenerbahçe Beko, which defeated Galatasaray 89-74 in the ING Turkish Cup semifinal, has become the opponent of Beşiktaş Fibabanka in the final.
The ING Turkish Cup Final Four was held in Şanlıurfa. In the first match, Beşiktaş Fibabanka became a finalist by defeating Mersinspor 83-63. In the second match, Fenerbahçe Beko and Galatasaray faced off.
Dominating the game, Fenerbahçe Beko closed the first quarter leading 22-16 and the first half 42-35. The yellow-navy blues maintained their superiority in the third quarter and entered the final period with a 64-46 lead.
In the second minute of the final quarter, foreign objects were thrown from the stands onto the court. The referees ordered a third announcement during the derby. Following the announcement, the referees and Galatasaray basketball players went to the locker room. The derby resumed once the Fenerbahçe fans were removed from the arena.

Not allowing the gap to close in the final quarter, Fenerbahçe Beko won the match 89-74 and advanced to the final.
The ING Turkish Cup final will be played between Beşiktaş Fibabanka and Fenerbahçe Beko on Sunday, February 16, at 16:00.
