Fenerbahçe Beko reaches the final in Europe
Fenerbahçe Beko became the first team to secure a spot in the Euroleague final by defeating Panathinaikos 82-76.
In the semi-final match of the Euroleague Final-Four, Europe's premier basketball organization, Fenerbahçe Beko defeated the Greek team Panathinaikos 82-76 to advance to the final.
Starting the match strongly in the paint, Fenerbahçe Beko led 13-5 in the first 4 minutes. The yellow-navy blues, who were highly effective on defense, extended the lead to double digits by the end of the quarter: 22-12. Fenerbahçe Beko finished the first quarter with a 22-13 lead.
Fenerbahçe Beko began the second quarter with three-pointers from Hayes-Davis and Tarık Biberovic, establishing a 12-point lead by the 13th minute: 31-18. Facing a Fenerbahçe Beko side that saw its offensive tempo drop, Panathinaikos AKTOR produced points from the inside and narrowed the gap to single digits (35-27) by the 18th minute.
FENERBAHÇE FINISHED THE FIRST HALF IN THE LEAD

Both teams struggled to score at the beginning of the third quarter. Responding to Nunn's baskets with Melli, Fenerbahçe Beko finished the 25th minute with a 42-37 lead. The yellow-navy blues, revitalized on offense by McCollum, extended the lead to 8 (53-45) in the 29th minute. Fenerbahçe Beko entered the final period leading 55-48.
Starting the final period with a 3-pointer from Melli, Fenerbahçe Beko managed to push the lead back to double digits in the 32nd minute: 59-48. The Greek team reduced the gap to 5 (61-56) in the 34th minute with Cedi Osman's high-scoring performance on offense.
TOOK CONTROL WITH HALL IN THE FINAL STRETCH
While Fenerbahçe Beko tried to widen the gap with Hall, Panathinaikos AKTOR reduced the lead to 5 with 3 minutes remaining thanks to Cedi Osman's offensive performance: 67-62. Taking control with Hall in the final stretch, Fenerbahçe Beko won the match 82-76 and secured their place in the final.
Reaching the final for the 4th time in its history, the yellow-navy blue team will compete for the championship on Sunday, May 25, against the winner of the Olympiacos-Monaco match.
