Fenerbahçe Beko returns from Spain disappointed!

In the 12th week of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Fenerbahçe Beko was defeated 80-79 by Baskonia in an away game in Spain.

While Fenerbahçe Beko suffered its 6th defeat in the league, Baskonia secured its 7th victory.

The first 5 minutes of the match, which began with baskets from both sides, ended in an 8-8 tie. Tightening its defense in the second part of the quarter, Fenerbahçe Beko went on a 10-0 run. Although Baskonia ended Fenerbahçe Beko's run with a basket by Howard at the end of the period, the yellow-navy team finished the first quarter leading 18-10.

Using the paint effectively in the second quarter, Fenerbahçe Beko extended the lead to 15 points in the 13th minute: 16-31. Closing the gap with consecutive points from Howard, Baskonia went into the locker room leading 38-37 following a basket by McIntyre.

Catching up with their opponent through baskets by Guduric, Fenerbahçe Beko took a 79-77 lead with 14.6 seconds remaining thanks to a basket by Dorsey. Baskonia regained the lead 7.4 seconds before the end with a three-pointer by Howard: 80-79. After Howard missed the free throw awarded due to a foul during his three-point shot, Fenerbahçe Beko used the final possession with Guduric, but the player could not convert his three-point attempt, and they lost the match 80-79.

The top scorer of the match was Marcus Howard, who came off the bench for Baskonia. The American player played a leading role in the victory by scoring 28 points. For Fenerbahçe Beko, 19 points from Nigel Hayes-Davis and 14 points from Marko Guduric were not enough for the win.
