In the first leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off round, Fenerbahçe hosted Belgian representative Anderlecht at home.

Fenerbahçe, which started the match at Ülker Stadium with pressure, took the lead with a goal in the 11th minute. Following a cross from Kostić, Yusuf Akçiçek headed the ball down, and Dušan Tadić scored with a header to make it 1-0.

The Yellow-Navies found the goal that doubled the lead in the 42nd minute. Džeko's shot from inside the penalty area deflected off Anderlecht defender Hey and fell back to Džeko. The Bosnian striker then sent the ball into the net with his follow-up shot: 2-0.

The first half of the match ended with Fenerbahçe leading 2-0.

Continuing their effective play from the first half into the second, Fenerbahçe brought the score to 3-0 in the 57th minute.

Youssef En-Nesyri rose well to meet a cross from the left wing by Sebastian Szymański and scored with a header, providing his team with a comfortable cushion.

Maintaining their lead for the remainder of the match, Fenerbahçe left the pitch with a 3-0 victory, securing a very important advantage for the next round.
