Emphasizing that the restructuring of Turkish football is inevitable, Fenerbahçe High Council Board President Şekip Mosturoğlu stated, "Unless there is a fundamental, reform-level change in the current institutional structure of the Turkish Football Federation, merely changing the names of those who manage or have managed football will not provide a solution to the chronic problems in Turkish football." Fenerbahçe High Council Board President Şekip Mosturoğlu: 'Restructuring Turkish football is inevitable'

The Fenerbahçe Ordinary High Council Board Meeting has begun.

The Fenerbahçe Ordinary High Council Board Meeting is being held at the Fenerbahçe Sports Club Faruk Ilgaz Facilities. The meeting was attended by Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç, High Council Board President Şekip Mosturoğlu, and members of the Council Board. The meeting began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem.

"RESTRUCTURING TURKISH FOOTBALL IS INEVITABLE"

Delivering the opening speech at the meeting, High Council Board President Şekip Mosturoğlu shared his views on the problems in Turkish football and their solutions, stating, "A tragic theater played out before our eyes in football has continued to be staged in the same way for years. In my opinion, at the root of the problems in Turkish football lies the fact that the institutional structure of the Turkish Football Federation constantly produces problems, and these problems, which have not been resolved over the years and have become chronic, disrupt the fair play order.

This situation causes the football family to lack institutional trust. As long as the deteriorated and diminished structure of our football is not renewed in accordance with modern requirements, and most importantly, as long as the trust lost over the years is not re-established, it will not be possible to speak of trust and fair play in Turkish football. In my opinion, the problem is not with individuals, but with the institutional structure that has deteriorated over time.

Individuals whose names are discussed negatively in the sports community have also been able to serve in past Turkish Football Federation administrations as a result of this broken structure. Unless there is a fundamental, reform-level change in the current institutional structure of the Turkish Football Federation, merely changing the names of those who manage or have managed football will not provide a solution to the chronic problems in Turkish football.

Today, apart from Fenerbahçe Sports Club, there are very few clubs striving to solve the problems in Turkish football, making efforts to change the institutional structure, and conducting work. Without changing general issues such as the TFF's election system and the structure of the general assembly, solving the chronic problems of football will never be possible," he said.

Regarding referee appointments made with artificial intelligence, Mosturoğlu said, "Unless the current data collection process is changed, referee appointments made with artificial intelligence will remain merely token appointments aimed at those who hold only the ones making the appointments responsible. The appointment system with artificial intelligence will only serve to save those who make the appointments and maintain the current unfair order.

For the solution of these and similar problems, the restructuring of Turkish football is inevitable. Once the system begins to work flawlessly following the restructuring, and the new rules determined by the federation and international institutions are fully implemented, and the total benefit is prioritized over personal gain, the institutional order desired by everyone will be achieved.

In a field where billions of liras are spent every season, all kinds of material and moral sacrifices are made, and the great efforts of athletes are provided, it is necessary for sporting success to be won in a fair play order and on the pitch," he said.
