Fenerbahçe issues harsh criticism of referee decisions following Galatasaray match
Fenerbahçe has issued a harsh statement regarding the referee decisions in the Gaziantep vs. Galatasaray match.
Fenerbahçe has leveled harsh criticism at the decisions made by referee Ali Şansalan during the Gaziantep vs. Galatasaray match. Club official Sertaç Komsuoğlu stated in his post-match remarks that refereeing decisions have been a subject of debate for a long time.
Komsuoğlu said, "In the very first week of the league, immediately after the opening whistle, we saw a repeat of the same refereeing decisions that have been etched into the memories of football fans for years, once again favoring the same team. We see that the same scenario has been repeating since the beginning of the season."
Fenerbahçe called on the President and Board of Directors of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), emphasizing that the Central Referee Board (MHK) must intervene in this situation. Komsuoğlu stated, "Both the VAR appointment and the assignment of Ali Şansalan to this match are a clear indication of the prevailing mentality."
The statement noted that all of the MHK President's past and present relationships should be examined in detail. Fenerbahçe expressed its belief that this structure in Turkish football will be held accountable sooner or later.
