Fenerbahçe issues statement on Leao and Demirovic
The yellow-navy club announced that there have been no attempts to sign Demirovic and that no offer of approximately 100 million euros has been made for Rafael Leao.
Fenerbahçe has issued an official statement regarding the transfer rumors involving Rafael Leao and Ermedin Demirovic that have appeared in the press in recent days. The yellow-navy club stated that the reports concerning the two players do not reflect the truth.
In the statement released by the club, it was noted that no transfer attempt has been made for Ermedin Demirovic, who plays for Stuttgart. The statement read, "The reports reflected in the press today claiming that our club is interested in Ermedin Demirovic, who plays for Stuttgart, are completely baseless."
Fenerbahçe also denied the claims of a high-value offer regarding Rafael Leao. The yellow-navy side announced that no offer totaling approximately 100 million euros, including transfer fees and salary, has been made to the player or his club.
The statement emphasized that the team's priority is the second leg match to be played against Górnik Zabrze in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. The club asked fans not to give credence to speculative reports that "portray unhappened transfer attempts as if they have taken place."
