Fenerbahçe legend Ogün Altıparmak has passed away

Ogün Altıparmak, one of the legendary players and former managers of Fenerbahçe, has passed away at the age of 86. 

In a statement announcing Altıparmak's passing, the yellow-navy club said, "We have lost Ogün Altıparmak, our former executive, player, and High Council Board (YDK) member with registration number 1372, who managed to leave his mark on Turkish football by achieving significant successes with our Fenerbahçe. We are grateful for all the victories he experienced with our Fenerbahçe and all the efforts he contributed to our crest, and we extend our condolences to his family, our community, and all his loved ones."

A ceremony will be held for Altıparmak tomorrow at 14:30 at the Dereağzı Lefter Küçükandonyadis Facilities. His funeral will be laid to rest at the Karacaahmet Cemetery following the prayer service at the Erenköy Galip Paşa Mosque.

Altıparmak, who played for Fenerbahçe between 1963-1968 and 1969-1971, won 4 Turkish League titles, 1 Turkish Cup, 1 Presidential Cup, 1 TSYD Cup, 1 Atatürk Cup, 1 Spor Toto Cup, and 1 Balkan Cup. Altıparmak, who also became the top scorer in the Süper Lig while wearing the yellow-navy jersey, served as an executive at Fenerbahçe between 1986-1988.
