Fenerbahçe makes a transfer move against Galatasaray
Fenerbahçe has accelerated its efforts for Can Uzun, who is also of interest to Galatasaray. The yellow-navy blues are preparing to sit down at the table with Frankfurt.
As the final days of the transfer window approach, Fenerbahçe has added the name Can Uzun to its agenda in its search for domestic reinforcements for the attacking line. It has been stated that the yellow-navy blues have intensified their efforts for the national footballer, who has also been on Galatasaray's radar for a long time.
The fullness of the foreign player quota and the possibility of Anderson Talisca leaving the team have been influential in the Fenerbahçe management's shift toward domestic player alternatives. In this context, it was reported that contacts have intensified for 20-year-old Can Uzun, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to a report by Sabah, Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım has instructed his staff to add the national footballer to the squad. It was stated that the transfer process will be closely managed by Football Branch Official Cihan Kamer, and that Kamer is planned to travel to Germany to meet with Frankfurt officials.
It was noted that the German club has a transfer fee expectation of approximately 40 million Euros for Can Uzun. It is claimed that Fenerbahçe is focusing on a formula involving a loan with a subsequent purchase option in order to lower this figure.
With the transfer window closing in many European leagues, time is running out, while the transfer period in Turkey will continue until September 4. It is stated that Fenerbahçe will try to finalize the transfer by pushing the conditions within this timeframe.
