In the 8th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe defeated Corendon Alanyaspor 3-0 at home. In the match held at Chobani Stadium, the yellow-navies did not drop any points ahead of next week's derby against Galatasaray.

The goals that brought victory to Fenerbahçe came from Romelu Lukaku in the 40th minute, Kerem Aktürkoğlu in the 71st minute, and Vedat Muriqi in the 87th minute. With this result, Fenerbahçe increased its points to 16, while Alanyaspor remained at 12 points.

In the first half of the match, Fenerbahçe won a penalty in the 16th minute. İrfan Can Kahveci sent the ball into the net after it rebounded from the goalkeeper following Mason Greenwood's penalty kick, but the goal was disallowed due to an early entry into the penalty area. The yellow-navies found the goal they were looking for in the 40th minute; Lukaku sent the ball into the net from close range following a low pass from Levent Mercan.

A NIGHT OF FIRSTS IN KADIKÖY

Romelu Lukaku and Kerem Aktürkoğlu scored their first goals of the season against Alanyaspor for Fenerbahçe. Following his transfer, Lukaku started in the first 11 for this match after a period of limited playing time and scored the goal that put his team ahead.

Mert Hakan Yandaş also returned to the pitch after a long break. The experienced footballer, who entered the game in the 77th minute replacing İrfan Can Kahveci, played in an official match for Fenerbahçe for the first time in 568 days.

Head coach İsmail Kartal made three changes to the squad compared to the starting 11 of the Aston Villa match. While Archie Brown, İsmail Yüksek, and Vedat Muriqi were among the substitutes, Levent Mercan, N'Golo Kante, and Romelu Lukaku started in the first 11. Marco Asensio and Mert Müldür, who have injuries, were not included in the squad.

In the next week of the Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe will be the guest of Galatasaray in the derby. Corendon Alanyaspor will host Kocaelispor at home.
