Fenerbahçe's May 12 post: 'We have not forgotten that treacherous attack'

Fenerbahçe has released a statement on the club's official account regarding the events that occurred following the Super Final match played against Galatasaray on May 12, 2012.

WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN MAY 12

Today marks 12 years since the May 12 attack, carried out by treacherous FETÖ members who could not seize our Fenerbahçe with the July 3 conspiracy, without regard for women, men, the young, the old, or children.

No Fenerbahçe fan has forgotten that treacherous attack where pepper spray was mercilessly fired at our supporters, our entire stadium was choked with gas, and our lives were put at risk.

Today, standing tall in the place where it has stood with honor for 117 years,

always at the service of its country by saying 'homeland first,' serving Turkish sports unconditionally in every branch it competes in despite all the injustices it has faced, and waving the flag of our country and our Fenerbahçe in national and international organizations,

As the World's Greatest Sports Club,

just like July 3, 2011, and April 4, 2015, we have not forgotten and will not forget the May 12, 2012 attack.
