Fenerbahçe players revolt against management! 'If he is here, we are not'
A group of Fenerbahçe players, predominantly consisting of local players, are unhappy with Jose Mourinho managing the team. It is alleged that İrfan Can Kahveci, İsmail Yüksek, Djiku, Cenk Tosun, and Levent Mercan have communicated through their agents that they wish to part ways with the club.
While congress members continue their signature campaign for an extraordinary congress at Fenerbahçe, which has been unable to end its championship drought, President Ali Koç's decision to continue with Jose Mourinho, who finished the season without a trophy, has unsettled many players, especially the local ones.
According to a report by İrfan Yirmibeş from Sözcü, İrfan Can Kahveci, İsmail Yüksek, Djiku, Cenk Tosun, and Levent Mercan, who have not seen eye-to-eye with Mourinho, have informed the management that they do not wish to work with the Portuguese manager.
TALISCA AND FRED ARE ALSO DISSATISFIED
Some players on the team are also uncomfortable with the system implemented by Mourinho. It is alleged that Talisca and Fred are also unhappy with this system. A statement confirming these grievances came from former Fenerbahçe player Elvir Baliç. Stating that the players do not have love or respect for Mourinho, Baliç said, "90% of the players do not want to continue with Mourinho." Baliç also noted that at Galatasaray, the vast majority of players like Okan Buruk.
