Fenerbahçe returns to a three-man defense and two-striker formation!
It has been suggested that Fenerbahçe manager Jose Mourinho may return to a three-man defense, similar to former manager Jorge Jesus, and that Youssef En-Nesyri, with his high jumping ability, and Edin Dzeko, in a target-man role, could play together up front.
The three-man defensive formation, most recently tested at Fenerbahçe by former Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus, is set to return to the agenda in the new period.
While preparations continue for a scenario where Çağlar Söyüncü, Alexander Djiku, and Jayden Oosterwolde are on the pitch at the same time, it has been suggested that the left flank will be entrusted to Filip Kostić, while Mert Müldür will be given a chance on the right.
According to a report on TRT Spor, Mourinho, who does not want to break up the midfield trio of İsmail Yüksek, Fred, and Sebastian Szymański in the initial phase, will gradually incorporate Sofyan Amrabat into the rotation.
Up front, a system where Edin Dzeko, with his height and aerial dominance, and En-Nesyri, who draws attention with his jumping ability, play together will be tested in training in the coming days.
