In the announcement made on the club's official website, it was stated, "Continuing its roster planning efforts ahead of the new season, our Fenerbahçe Beko Men's Basketball Team has reached a 1-year agreement with our Team Captain Melih Mahmutoğlu, whose name has become synonymous with Fenerbahçe men's basketball.
Melih Mahmutoğlu, who has worn our jersey since the 2013-2014 season, has experienced two EuroLeague championships, as well as 7 Turkish League, 5 Turkish Cup, and 3 Presidential Cup titles during this time. Our captain, who has written his name in golden letters in the glorious history of Fenerbahçe, will continue to sweat in the striped jersey this season as well.
