Fenerbahçe's earnings from the Sidiki Cherif transfer revealed!
The financial terms of the transfer agreement for Sidiki Cherif, whom Fenerbahçe sent to Coventry City, have become clear. The yellow-navy blues will earn up to 3 million euros in bonuses in addition to the 25 million euro transfer fee. Furthermore, they will receive a share from the young player's future sales.
The financial terms of the agreement for the transfer of Fenerbahçe's young forward Sidiki Cherif to Coventry City have been revealed. The English club will pay the yellow-navy blue club 25 million euros for the 19-year-old footballer's transfer fee.
3 MILLION EUROS IN ADDITION TO THE TRANSFER FEE
According to a report by Doruk Tecimer from TRT Spor, the contract includes bonus clauses in addition to the transfer fee. The total amount of these bonuses, which are tied to conditions with a high probability of being met, has been set at 3 million euros.
If all of these clauses are met, the total amount that will enter Fenerbahçe's coffers from the Cherif transfer will rise to 28 million euros.
EARNINGS FROM FUTURE TRANSFERS
Another notable clause in the agreement for Fenerbahçe is the sell-on fee. Accordingly, if Cherif is transferred from Coventry City to another club in the future, 17.5 percent of the resulting transfer fee will be transferred to Fenerbahçe.
Thus, the income the yellow-navy blues will earn from the transfer will not be limited to the initial sale. Cherif's career at Coventry City and any potential future transfer will mean new transfer fee revenue for Fenerbahçe.
