Fenerbahçe secures 6th consecutive EuroLeague victory

The Fenerbahçe Men's Basketball Team visited Italian side Virtus Bologna in the EuroLeague. While the Yellow-Navy Blues finished the first period, which saw back-and-forth scoring, with a 23-22 lead, the tempo slowed in the second quarter. The hosts headed to the locker room with a 38-37 advantage. Falling behind by 10 points in the 3rd quarter, Fenerbahçe narrowed the gap with points from Colson and Guduric. 

The final quarter began with a score of 61-56. In the last period, which started with mutual three-pointers from both teams, the Yellow-Navy Blues rejoined the contest with points from Guduric, Nigel Hayes-Davis, and Tarık. The score was tied with 2 minutes and 18 seconds remaining in the match. (77-77) With a three-point shot from Nigel Hayes-Davis, the Yellow-Navy Blues took an 84-82 lead with 15 seconds left. Jasikevicius's students, who left the court with an 86-82 victory, secured their 6th consecutive win. Reaching their 9th victory in the league, Fenerbahçe maintained their lead.

For the Bologna side, Shengelia was the top scorer of the match with 23 points. For Fenerbahçe, Guduric recorded 21 points, while Nigel Hayes-Davis with 19 points and Colson with 18 points were the architects of the victory. Tarık Biberovic also contributed with 11 points.
