Fenerbahçe secures first league win

In the 3rd week of the Trendyol Super League, Fenerbahçe faced Kocaelispor at home. The match, which ended in a 1-1 draw at halftime, saw the Yellow Canaries emerge with a 3-1 victory. The goals that secured the 3 points for the yellow-navy side came from Milan Skriniar, Archie Brown, and Anderson Talisca.

Fenerbahçe, whose first home match of the season was postponed by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) due to a European cup fixture, played its first league match away against Göztepe. Jose Mourinho's side had started the season with 1 point following a goalless draw in that match. Today, they secured a win against the green-black team in front of their own fans.

With this result, Fenerbahçe has reached 4 points in its 2nd league match. Kocaelispor, meanwhile, has suffered defeat in all 3 matches and has yet to earn a point.

Fenerbahçe will face Benfica in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Play-Off Round on Wednesday, August 27.
