Fenerbahçe secures victory with 90+3 goal
Fenerbahçe advanced to the next round by defeating Lugano 2-1 at home in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round second leg match.
In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round, our representative Fenerbahçe faced Swiss side Lugano following a 4-3 win in the first match.
Lugano found the goal in the 7th minute of the match played at Ülker Stadium. Belhadj Mahmoud put Lugano 1-0 ahead by sending the ball into the net with a classy strike from outside the penalty area.
The first half of the match ended with Lugano leading 1-0.

Fenerbahçe, pressing for an equalizer, found the goal they were looking for in the 59th minute. Edin Dzeko rose well to meet a cross into the penalty area from Mert Hakan and made the score 1-1 with a header.
In the 90+3rd minute of the match, Sebastian Szymanski put Fenerbahçe 2-1 ahead and sealed the final score by finding the net from a perfect pass by Dusan Tadic.

There were no more goals in the remainder of the match. Having won the first leg 4-3, Fenerbahçe defeated Lugano 2-1 in the return leg, securing a 6-4 aggregate victory and advancing to the third qualifying round.

Fenerbahçe will face French side Lille in the Champions League third qualifying round.
