Fenerbahçe Sports Club shared the trailer for the film "The Color of Victory" on its official X account.

The trailer features striking scenes from the film, which focuses on the General Harington Cup and is set during the period when Istanbul was under occupation.

While filming continues for "The Color of Victory," which tells the story of the General Harington Cup—one of the most impressive victories in our glorious Fenerbahçe history—the first teaser for the film was released today in honor of the 100th anniversary of our Republic!

Directed by Abdullah Oğuz, The Color of Victory will bring the era to the big screen with all its reality as a period film, through its acting, makeup, and costume designs.

The Color of Victory, which will meet audiences in February, will bring to the big screen the breathtaking story of unique friendships, an unparalleled love, and a sports competition that left its mark on history; it is structured around the legend of the General Harington Cup, considered one of the greatest sports achievements in Republican history, set against the backdrop of a unique resistance organized against enemy forces in Istanbul under occupation between 1918 and 1923.

In addition to Kubilay Aka, who plays the film's protagonist, Fenerbahçe's founding member and legendary captain Galip Bey, and Gülper Özdemir in the role of Peyker, the film also features Nejat İşler (Sabri Toprak), Timuçin Esen (Topkapılı Cambaz), Yiğit Özşener (Mustafa Kemal Pasha), Gonca Vuslateri (Vera), and Birce Akalay (Halide Edib Adıvar), who bring to life the symbolic politicians, intellectuals, military figures, and heroic athletes of Turkish football history of that era."

WHAT IS THE GENERAL HARINGTON CUP?

The General Harington Cup is a football match organized by General Charles Harington, the commander of the British occupation forces, in his own name as he was leaving Istanbul. On June 29, 1923, in front of a massive crowd at Taksim Stadium, Fenerbahçe faced a mixed British team formed by the British commander-in-chief with its own squad.
