Fenerbahçe signs Dutch player Nathan Ake

As part of its squad planning for the new season, Fenerbahçe has reached an agreement with Nathan Ake. The yellow-navy club announced that a contract has been signed with the Dutch player. Ake, who has played for the English side Manchester City since 2020, has appeared in 177 matches and won 12 trophies, including one UEFA Champions League title.

Fenerbahçe signs Dutch player Nathan Ake

Nathan Ake, who also plays for the Netherlands national team, appeared in 3 matches at the 2026 World Cup.

In its statement regarding the transfer, Fenerbahçe announced that the player will join the team at the Austria training camp following his leave period.

After coming through the youth systems of ADO Den Haag and Feyenoord, Ake played in various age categories at Chelsea starting in 2011, and also had loan spells at Reading, Watford, and Bournemouth.

The successful defender transferred to Bournemouth on a permanent deal in the summer of 2017, while Manchester City acquired the player at the start of the 2020-2021 season for a fee of 45 million Euros. Nathan Ake has competed in 253 Premier League matches and made 33 appearances in the Champions League while playing for Chelsea and Manchester City.
