Statement from Fenerbahçe on 'black market tickets'
A statement regarding black market tickets has been released from the official social media account of Fenerbahçe Sports Club.
The statement regarding black market ticket sales, which has been brought to the agenda by Fenerbahçe executives for some time, included the following expressions:
"As Fenerbahçe Sports Club, we have informed all relevant state institutions in detail regarding the black market allegations raised by the club members of a rival team, and we have requested that the necessary investigations and inquiries be conducted.
The subject has become a matter of agenda again today in some media outlets and on social media following the statements made by our President, Mr. Ali Y. Koç, in his latest press conference.
We would like to state with regret that the deficiencies in the prosecutor's file are not limited to the witness testimony that is on the agenda today. It is believed that within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a decision of non-prosecution was made regarding the allegations without conducting a sufficient and detailed investigation or an effective inquiry. For this reason, our Club has applied to a higher authority on December 31, 2024, for the annulment of the prosecutor's office decision, both because it directly concerns us and as a requirement of our social responsibility.
In terms of public conscience, the investigation in question must be concluded by being examined in the finest detail, as required by law. If the club in question also believes that there is no irregularity regarding the allegations and considers itself innocent, it will support the deepening of the investigation for justice to be served.
Believing that the judicial authorities will approach the matter with sensitivity, we would like it to be known that we will exercise all our rights in this and similar matters and that we will follow the process to the end.
Fenerbahçe Sports Club."
