In a statement released by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), it was announced that an agreement has been reached with the Portuguese manager.
While no information was provided regarding the duration of the contract, the statement noted that Santos has been tasked with building a competitive team and achieving a successful performance in the EURO 2028 qualifiers.
Fernando Santos most recently served as the manager of Beşiktaş.
