FIFA prepares to distribute 1 billion dollars
According to a statement from FIFA, it is expected that the tournament to be held in the USA from June 15 to July 13, 2025, will generate 2 billion dollars in revenue, and 1 billion dollars of this income will be distributed to participating clubs.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated, "All revenue generated from the tournament will be distributed to the participating clubs through club solidarity, and FIFA will not retain a single cent. FIFA's reserves, which are set aside for global football development, will remain untouched."
A total of 32 clubs will participate in FIFA's new organization.
Teams will be divided into 8 groups of 4 and will face each other in single matches. Those who finish in the top 2 of their groups will face each other in subsequent rounds based on a single-elimination format.
According to the decision taken, FIFA announced that the inaugural FIFA Women's Club World Cup, which was scheduled for 2026, has been postponed by another 2 years and will now be held in January-February 2028.
Infantino stated that the FIFA Women's Club World Cup will be a decisive stage in the growth of women's club football and will provide the platform they deserve to make the women's club game a global focal point.
