The Turkish Football Federation has announced a new regulation regarding the use of foreign players in the 2026-2027 Ziraat Turkish Cup status.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced that a change has been made regarding the use of foreign players in the 2026-2027 season Ziraat Turkish Cup Competition Status.
In the statement made by the federation, it was stated that Trendyol Süper League and Trendyol 1st League clubs will be able to play footballers who are eligible to play for the Turkey A National Football Team but are not included in their A-team list, and/or foreign national footballers, in Turkish Cup matches under certain conditions.
Accordingly, Trendyol Süper League clubs will not be able to register more than 14 foreign national footballers on the Turkish Cup match squad list.
Trendyol 1st League clubs, on the other hand, will be able to register a maximum of 8 foreign national footballers on the match squad list. However, these clubs will be able to have a maximum of 6 foreign footballers on the pitch at the same time in the squad continuing the game.
It was reported that the temporary article announced by the TFF is valid for footballers who are in the squads of Trendyol Süper League and Trendyol 1st League clubs as of August 26, 2026, and whose contracts are ongoing.
