Sports writer Serdar Ali Çelikler, who works as a commentator on the Vole channel on YouTube, made controversial remarks following the Galatasaray – Antalyaspor match.
Speaking without mentioning the name of the match's assistant referee, Mustafa Savranlar, Çelikler had used the phrases "If they cursed at your mother or wife, you wouldn't hear it; if they cursed at your wife, you would say 'go ahead brother, I'll bring her over tonight'."
Following the backlash, Çelikler issued an apology on his social media account.
Çelikler used the following expressions in his apology message:
"People have bad days in their lives. Today was such a day for me. The words I uttered during the broadcast, even if I did not name anyone, were words that I could not reconcile with myself. I apologize."

Çelikler's statement is as follows:
