Flash decision from Serdar Ali Çelikler, who used sexist remarks about a referee!

Sports writer Serdar Ali Çelikler, who works as a commentator on the Vole channel on YouTube, made remarks that drew backlash following the Galatasaray – Antalyaspor match.

Speaking without naming the match's assistant referee, Mustafa Savranlar, Çelikler had used the expressions "If they cursed at your mother or wife, you wouldn't hear it; if they cursed at your wife, you would say 'go ahead, sir, I'll bring her over tonight'."

Following the controversial remarks, Çelikler issued an apology on his social media account.

Çelikler used the following expressions in his apology message:

"People have bad days in their lives. Today was such a day for me. The words I used during the broadcast, even though I did not name anyone, were words that I could not reconcile with myself. I apologize."

Following his apology message, Serdar Ali Çelikler made another statement. The famous commentator announced that he is taking a break from broadcasting for a while.

Çelikler's statement is as follows:

"After a few difficult days, I used expressions in the broadcast on February 26 that exceeded their purpose and did not align with my style. I apologized during the broadcast in question and subsequently. I am very sorry for what happened. However, after re-evaluating, I decided that it would be right for me to take a break from broadcasts for a while. I have shared this decision with Vole as well. I will not be among you for a while. I hope everyone forgives me."
