Foreign player quota alarm at Fenerbahçe
Due to the 10+4 foreign player rule, squad planning has accelerated at Fenerbahçe. At least 8 departures are expected for the yellow-navy blues.
As transfer efforts continue ahead of the new season at Fenerbahçe, the foreign player quota has become one of the club's most critical issues. The yellow-navy team currently has 23 foreign players under contract.
It is stated that this number could rise to 25 if the transfers for the right-wing and center-forward positions are completed. Due to the 10+4 foreign player rule to be implemented in the new season, Fenerbahçe is expected to undergo a significant streamlining of its squad.
According to this situation, the yellow-navy club is planning to part ways with at least 8 foreign players. It is reported that the management is preparing to evaluate incoming offers to open up quota space and make room for new signings.
It has been suggested that offers for Sofyan Amrabat, Diego Carlos, Dominik Livakovic, Rodrigo Becao, Jayden Oosterwolde, and Musaba will be the first to be considered. It is claimed that after the transfers are completed, the possibility of parting ways with two more names from among Fred, Nelson Semedo, Anderson Talisca, and Kante may be evaluated.
A separate plan is also being carried out for young players who fit the +4 foreign player rule. It was reported that Mimovic, Omar Fayed, and Abdou Aziz Fall are not being considered in the new season squad planning, while there are plans to continue with Dorgeles Nene, Archie Brown, Cherif, and Diouf.
Transfer activity in the Süper Lig is not limited to Fenerbahçe. It is stated that Beşiktaş has reached the final stage of negotiations for Leandro Trossard and that the Belgian player's agent and lawyer have been invited to Istanbul. It is reported that the black-and-white club aims to complete the transfer by resolving the final hurdle regarding the signing bonus.
