Former Fenerbahçe Club President Tahsin Kaya has passed away
Fenerbahçe Club announced that former president Tahsin Kaya (87) has passed away.
In a statement released by the yellow-navy club, it was stated: "We have learned with great sadness the news of the passing of Tahsin Kaya, who served as the president of our Fenerbahçe between 1986-1989, was a member of our High Council with registration number 3117, and contributed greatly to our club."
It was reported that Kaya, who made significant contributions to the Turkey economy as a businessman, oversaw important successes for the yellow-navy team during his 3-year presidency.
It was recalled that the Fenerbahçe Football Team became the Süper Lig champion by scoring 103 goals in the 1988-1989 season and also won the Prime Minister's Cup.
The statement concluded with the words: "We wish God's mercy upon our late president and extend our condolences to his grieving family, relatives, and our entire community."
